This course will outline how RSE in Catholic Schools must focus on the love, freedom and purpose that God wants each person to experience in their lives. An analysis of RSE in relation to where we have come from, where we are at present and where we can go will be explored. The philosophy and justification for teaching RSE will also be investigated. Practical strategies, based on Catholic principles, for teaching about relationships, sexuality and life will be examined and shared. The Catholic Teaching on RSE will be taught, with an emphasis placed on respect for God, oneself and other people. The aim of this workshop will be to explore how to use RSE to bring the Catholic message of true joy to you, your classroom and your pupils.
