This course will give teachers an opportunity to explore all strands of the visual arts curriculum and so will increase their own personal confidence and expertise in teaching and making visual art. Special emphasis will be placed on art as a means of communication, expression and learning. Links between art and other curricular areas will be investigated including literacy, numeracy, SPHE and ICT. The course will include a pack of art supplies and a day trip to Carlingford. Lunch will be provided on location for each day of the course.
